The Froth and Bubble Foundation for Food Assistance had several “Firsts” last week and I wanted to share them with you.

1. We received our FIRST referral from the American Cancer Society. The woman called them in search of help with food. The gave her our name. She happened to be receiving her treatments at MD Anderson where we already deliver grocery cards. I told her to talk to a social worker or navigator to be vetted. I received her vetted form that afternoon, and Wednesday I delivered her first food card. As my sister-in-law, Barbara says, “Easy Peasy”.
2. We received our FIRST recipient from a new clinic, Arizona Oncology. We received the vetted form Friday, and he will receive his first grocery card this week on Tuesday.
3. Saturday when I went to the mailbox I found an interesting looking envelope. Six weeks ago, I applied to FRY’S FOOD STORES for a donation to help with extra recipients for the upcoming Passover and Easter holidays. They came through with 5 x 100.00 grocery cards.  FRY’S is our very first corporate donation.  I offer a frothy and bubbly thank you to FRY’S.    jl
