COVID-19         FROTH AND BUBBLE -180

Things have been bubbling along frothily at my favorite foundation. So many things to tell you.  FRY’S DONATED $2,500.00 worth of grocery cards for the patients we help. Thank you, Fry’s!!!

March is described as coming in like a lion, going out like a lamb. Not this March. March came in like a lion and went out like a Pride.  Like nothing the world has ever seen before. Covid-19 reared its ugly head and roared like nothing ever heard before. What could we do?

In March we passed out more cards than any other month of our two year plus existence. 180 cards all counted.  There were five weeks in the month, and we passed out over two dozen cards designated expressly to help individuals and their families to celebrate the most meaningful holidays of Passover and Easter.

Lots of people lost their work and their salaries. That includes patients going through treatments who might not have had a problem before the virus arrived. 

So, we are delivering our cards weekly where they are needed and able to get them to the patients.  In any number of places, I have my temperature taken.  So far, so good.  I don’t dawdle, tarry, or chat. I give the cards to the social worker and go back to my car for Purell.

It is surely my intention to continue to deliver the cards to the social workers, or nurses as long as the patients can receive them. There is much for which to be grateful.  The store finally had double ply toilet paper the other day!!  Thank you for your interest and support of The Froth and Bubble Foundation for Food Assistance.   Sincerely,  JL
